Background

The Kompetenzschule has the title of the Employability and Leadership Skills for Young Saxon Researchers (ELSYS) as per the application. It is advocated by the Saxon State Ministry for Science and the Arts and is supported by the European Social Fund.

The Kompetenzschule has the purpose of coming up with and introducing qualification modules to best prepare students taking a doctor’s degree for management positions in colleges, administration and the private economy. The Kompetenzschule’s work has the purpose of improving the skills of students who are taking a doctor’s degree for launching a career in the Free State of Saxony while educating and signing on highly qualified junior academics for attractive positions in the State of Saxony. The University of Leipzig has the Kompetenzschule to substantially boost the activities of the Research Academy of Leipzig.
